JD 112 Checking it out

Today I started look into what it will take to get the JD112 moving.

I pulled the hood and took off the air cleaner and fitted it with a proper wing nut and fender washer.

Gas tank on right has a JB Weld patch.

Next on my list was to check out the electric lift.  It has problems but I think it can be made to work.

There are the famous electric lift solenoids.  Things are just too dirty in here to suite me.   Maybe soak with some mild degreaser and take another run at the car wash.

The next step will be to remove and clean the carb.  Then try to get it running using the MTD gas tank.
